Quorum · Before you begin
What to have ready.
Two minutes here, ten in the sign-up.
The sign-up asks for the six things below. None of them is required to start, and you can add any of them later from your status page. Send this page to whoever keeps the chapter’s files.
Have on hand
Six things. Each one is optional.
Whatever you have, in whatever shape it is in. We read the columns and place the photos.
-
1
Your old system’s login
The admin login for the system your chapter uses today, used once by us to copy the seasons, the events, the attendance, the member directory and the photos. Or make a temporary admin login and delete it after.
-
2
The member list
An Excel or CSV file from any system: names, emails, partners, forums, whatever columns you have.
-
3
Last season’s calendar
Excel, CSV or a calendar file. Past events import too, so the history is there on the first day.
-
4
Photo folders
Google Drive or Dropbox folder links, set to Anyone with the link can view. A folder named for its event lands on that event. Or drop the folders in.
-
5
The board
Who holds which position this season. It comes over with your old system’s login. Otherwise a short list: the position and the name.
-
6
Payments
The person who can sign for the chapter, and the bank account dues and event fees should go to. If the chapter has no Stripe account yet, create one at stripe.com.
For the console, not the sign-up
After you sign up
Five steps, and you press the last one.
Your status page shows each step as it happens. Nothing reaches your members until you press Go live.
- ReceivedNow
Everything you sent is with us.
- Being builtWithin one business day
We build the chapter’s website and app from your files.
- Being checkedOne more business day
A person at Quorum looks through it and fixes what the import got wrong.
- Ready for youOne email
Your console sign-in. You check the chapter in private and fix anything you want.
- LiveWhen you are ready
You press Go live and your members are invited.
What we send you
Two emails. One page in between.
- Email one
We have what you sent.
Once your files are read: what we found in them, file by file and as counts, and the link to your status page.
- Your status page
Where your chapter stands.
Each step as it happens, a place to add more files, and a conversation with the person building your chapter. No password; the link is the key.
- Email two
Your console is ready.
Your sign-in, on a computer. The console opens on a setup guide that walks nine pages, about an hour in all, before you go live.
Ready when you are.
The sign-up takes about ten minutes. The first year is free, and the chapter’s data stays the chapter’s.
