Privacy Policy

Quorum runs private chapter platforms. Each chapter’s instance - its member site and the Quorum app - exists for one audience: that chapter’s members, Gold members, and their spouses and partners - and for one purpose: running the chapter. This policy describes what a chapter’s platform holds, why, and what it will never do with it. For a chapter, this policy is part of the Chapter Terms of Service, and the version the chapter accepted is recorded with its sign-up.

What the platform holds

• Your membership record - name, email, phone, company and role, city, family details, and membership history, provided by you or by the chapter office when your account was created.
• What you post - updates, photos, videos, comments, replies, survey answers, RSVPs, and messages to the chapter. Content you share in a forum is visible only to that forum’s members; chapter-wide content is visible only to signed-in members of the chapter.
• Event and payment records - your RSVPs, attendance, and payments for chapter events. Card and bank details are entered directly with and held by Stripe, the payment processor; the platform stores only the resulting receipt (what was paid, for which event).
• Optional location tags - only when you tap “Add location” on a post. Location is never collected in the background.
• Optional travel overlaps - if you switch on Crossings, your device scans your calendar locally and shares only city-level travel windows (a metro and a date range). Event titles, attendees, and details never leave your phone. The feature is off until you turn it on.
• Notifications - a push token for your device if you allow notifications, and delivery logs for the chapter email and text messages you’ve opted into.
• A researched profile - only where your chapter office runs it: facts about your career and public life gathered from public sources, written in a positive or neutral frame, approved by a person at the chapter before you see it, and yours to correct from your own profile.

What it’s used for

Operating the chapter: your forum’s feed, the member directory, event invitations and RSVPs, chapter communications, and the tools members use with each other. Access requires membership - nothing on the platform is public.

What it is never used for

• No advertising and no ad networks.
• No sale, rental, or trade of member information - to anyone, for any reason.
• No third-party analytics or tracking SDKs anywhere a member signs in - not on the chapter’s member site, not in the app - and no tracking across other companies’ apps or websites.

The assistants

Some features draft or answer with an AI model from Anthropic: the event page designer, the assistant in the chapter console, the Board Room, and the research desk that gathers a member’s public record. A request carries only what the task needs - the question asked, the record it is about, a file the office attached. Anthropic does not use what the platform sends to train its models, and a person at the chapter approves any change an assistant proposes before it happens.

Text messages

Chapter updates can also reach you as text messages - only if you turn on Text me too in your own notification settings, or ask the chapter office to turn it on for you. Texts come from the chapter’s own number; message frequency varies with chapter activity; message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text to stop them immediately, reply HELP for help, or flip the same switch in your settings any time. Consent to receive texts is never a condition of membership.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties. Your phone number and text-messaging opt-in status are used for exactly one thing - delivering the chapter updates you asked for.

The public marketing site

Everything above describes your chapter’s platform - the member site and the Quorum app, both behind sign-in. The pages at quorum.rsvp are different: a sales site anyone can read. Those pages use Google Analytics to count visits and show which of them people read, and they are the only pages that do. Nothing a member signs in to carries it, and it never sees your membership record, your posts, or anything else your chapter’s platform holds.

Google receives the page address, the page you arrived from, and the ordinary details of any web request - browser, language, approximate region. Addresses are stripped first: only campaign tags and advertising click ids survive, so a link carrying a private token cannot pass it on.

If your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track, analytics never loads. Extensions that block it work too, and the pages read the same either way.

Who touches the data

A small set of service providers process data solely on the chapter’s behalf: Cloudflare (hosting and storage), Stripe (payments), Resend (transactional email), Twilio (text-message delivery), Expo and Apple (push notification delivery), Anthropic (the model behind the assistants, above), Photon by komoot (turning a place you look up or tag into an address), and Intuit QuickBooks (only when your chapter office connects its own book: the invoices, payments and names the book needs). Each receives only what its function requires. Chapter administrators can see membership records and activity counts; the contents of a forum’s feed remain sealed to that forum’s members.

Security

Everything moves over encrypted connections. Sessions are held with secure cookies; passwords are stored only as salted hashes; a password reset signs out every device. In the native app you can add Face ID, screenshots of sealed rooms are blocked, and the app hides its content in the app switcher.

Retention & your choices

• Your record and content are kept while you’re part of the chapter. When membership ends, sign-in is retired immediately.
• You can edit your profile in the app, and notification, email, Face ID, and Crossings preferences are yours to change any time.
• To review, correct, export, or delete your information - or to close your account - email the chapter office and it will be handled directly.

Who may use the platform

Each instance is for the adult members of its chapter community and is not directed to children.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, the chapter will tell its members directly - by the platform’s own notifications or by email - before the change takes effect.
